How often should I water Rose bushes?
Water newly planted roses 2–3 times a week during their first root-establishment phase. Once established, deep watering once a week (or twice during scorching summer spells) is ideal. Always apply water at the base of the plant to keep foliage dry and reduce disease risk.
How and when should I prune Roses?
Prune rose bushes in late winter or early spring as dormant buds swell by cutting away dead, diseased, or crossing branches down to healthy wood. Clear out dense interior canes to improve light penetration and airflow through the center of the shrub. Finally, make 45-degree angled cuts just above outward-facing buds to encourage balanced, outward growth.
