In 2005, Peggy Martin’s Louisiana garden sat under 20 feet of saltwater for two weeks following Hurricane Katrina. When the flood finally receded, 450 of her rose bushes were dead, except for one nameless, vibrant climber that refused to quit. Today, we call that survivor the Peggy Martin!
